Blue Steel Equestrian was founded in 2005 by Christopher Röhrich, whose passion for horses and the equestrian community led to the creation of the brand. Growing up on a farm and surrounded by enthusiastic riders, Christopher identified a gap in the market for high-quality, affordable equestrian apparel. After sourcing manufacturers both locally and internationally, the first product line was launched at the end of 2005, marking the birth of the Blue Steel brand. Over the past 15 years, the company's profile and product range have expanded significantly, with the Blue Steel logo becoming a familiar sight at local and national equestrian events. Notably, we were proud to be one of the main sponsors of the Equestrian World Cup hosted in Port Elizabeth in 2008. Based in Port Elizabeth, we supply products to our nationwide network of resellers as well as local suppliers, ensuring that equestrians across the country have access to our premium apparel. In February 2013, the Radke Family acquired Blue Steel Equestrian from Christopher. With a longstanding involvement in the equestrian world, Tanja Radke serves as a Course Designer and is active in various equestrian committees, while Amy Radke has represented Eastern Province in riding for many years.
